it's a superb conversion , loads more power . steve parker used to do the conversion kits .
fuel wise it should'nt be that much different to a 2.25 petrol .
just be careful with your brakes .
oh and hello everybody .

THE BIG GREEN HULK!!!

My brother had a s111 with a 2.5l v6 which he blew up and replaced with a 3litre v6. One word- Fantastic! Power, speed, noise (the nice sort), pops on overun complete with blue flames out the exhaust and it even returned better mpg than his old 2.25 petrol. What was even better was that it was still classed as Group 4 (I think) insurance so it was as cheap are any normal landy. Have fun!

That's the one! Although thinking about it, it may not have been scaffold but a length of stainless "borrowed" from the the old milking parlour! The s111 ended up being traded in part exchange for my dads isuzu trumper and my brother has regretted letting it go ever since. He has though offered his Agricultural Reclaimed Specialist Exhausts service to anyone who wants one. ARSE anyone?

What a Coincidence!

I have just bought a SWB 1972 Series 3 with the Steve Parker 3.0 V6 converison. I haven't collected it yet (Saturday) but can't wait.

I have been told that 80mph is easily achieved an maintained with these conversions (not that I would go that fast, officer!)

My Question is Exhausts, the Steve Parker option is £280+ (mild steel to!) the exhaust it has is home made but by all accounts works as it just passed a new MOT.

But it is a bit restrictive, so I wondered if anyone knows where I could get a better system or alternatively could recomend a design or dimensions or even ideal diameter so that I could buy/ have my talented father in law fabricate one.

Thanks In Advance and Hello (Im a Newbie to the forum)

Dan
