Series II gear box onto Series III engine

HI,

Have been given a good Five bearing Engine Series III, that I want to Fit in to my Series II, what do I need to do to fit them together.

we put a series 2 petrol engine in me series 3 without any mods

Spanners and an engine hoist

and time .

Do I Have to change the clutch and flywheel etc.

you would need the clutch and flywheel to match your 2 box....i.e. you old un

Thats what I thought you had to do but,

Where the series II flywheel bolts to the end of the crank the Bolt centres are differnent pitch and it does not bolt on.

??????? mine were the same

just swap yer clutch

depends on wot it was fitted in and to

a s2 engine to a s3 gearbox like i said earlier

Clutch is different in a Series 2 box to a series 3 box

The answer is in post 10. Bolt your Series II clutch to the Series III flywheel.
