After chasing a missfire/ fuelsurge? problem for a long time i am now sure it is the inlet manifold butterfly. When it runs well i dont get smoke and brakes are good when it plays up i get smoke and reduced servo effort. The problem is worse on bumpy roads. I was lookind at fitting a belt driven vacuum pump off a peugot 405 using a twin water pump pully but whilst looking for one found a Hella electric vacuum pump and have ordered one. Has anyone tried one of these?
