It would help if you told us

A) wether you want Series II/IIa or Series III wing, as they are
completely different.
B) Which side, as they tend to be handed for the left hand and right
hand side also.

and both for the passenger side.

i did type all this in my original post but a pop up must have popped

It would look a bit silly if you had one series 3 wing and one series
2/2A with no headlight in!

ahh but series 2a (later models) have lights in the wings, exactly the
same wings as on s3 except the passenger side has no hole for the fan.

so its not realy a problem having a S2 or S3 wing.

and if i exceptionaly good condition 2 turned up, then id mate it with
my exceptionaly good series 2 wing in the garage, and id have a pair.

but as its got 1 good S3 drivers wing ready to put on, id like another
S3 or 2a with headlight in wing.

Right .. now thats the wings sorted... the doors are different too... some
II's have the check strap as a tube under the dash with a damper wastened to
the door.... some have nowt... SIII's have a nylon block mounted in a slider
on the door. Not so much a problem if you have a spare one of each of the
opposites but still worthy of clarifiaction incase any one else goes and
buys the wrong one then regrets it later.

You talking about my 2A here?

:)

That hole's nothing that the piece of alloy plate doesn't fix....

Yip. If someone's going to be fussy, they could use lumiweld/technoweld and
a piece of the old bashed wing to fill the holes in the side of a S3 wing

You can always fabricate the mount for a II/IIa onto a later door.
Besides, I don't believe that new doors are available for SII/IIa with
the older restrainer on them, the only new doors I have seen are all
SIII

Perhaps he could sellotape it to the top of the wing?

Alex

Could do with the same myself, passenger wing and driver door, series 3

Good second hand doors are hard to come by.
