Can anyone send me a pdf file or watevs to how the locking system works on a series 3?
Got 2 bloody transfer boxes sitting around, 1 in pieces, none of them have working 4wd lockers. FANTASTIC.

Do you mean the 4wd linkage? No diff or therefore lock on a series t case. Its in the haynes or green bible as to how it all goes together. Not too complicated. I havent got a pdf buts its on the web im sure if you google.

I mean the locker in the transfer case, i call it a locker, cos it locks the front prop to the out. shaft from the transfer. i think i need to adjust some stuff... still cannae figure out how it works though...

The front transfer case has three shafts if not used for awhile ie in 2wd they rust and stick.
With high ratio engaged pressing yellow knob down lifts a pin out of middle shaft which allows the springs inside the box to push the dog clutch into gear and give 4wd high.
Pulling the red knob back into low ratio resets the yellow knob but engages the dog clutch to give 4wd low.
Red lever forward again gives 2wd high ratio.
Have a look at the attached pdfs one shows the shaft measurements in the various positions other the internal links.

Thank you very much, just what i was looking for. So if you engage 4wd in high, you need to push it in to low ratio, drop the pin back in, then switch back to high to get it out again?
