Hi Guys

Just stripped the steering box today, previously had excessive play and was not due to track rod ends etc, so I opened the box up to check. It was hard to tell from the condition of the bearings and balls to see for wear, but the main nut seems to have a ridge at the top bottom and too, (it looks purposeful rather than damage) if that makes sense, externally the nut looks relatively new. My only concern is that I've got the spares to replace the balls and two bearings, but don't want to waste my time if this nut is going to self district.

Thanks

Joe
