not done much the last few days after school, been painting a lot so not much to show for a lot of the time,

i have painted and fitted the front panel thought , with the radiator that i bought brand new middle of last year so that should be ok

i have also finished clipping all the brake pipes on, and tightened them all up, so now the clutch and brakes need to be blead, and coolant put in the radiator, add in some wires to the starter and a battery and she should start!! :D

so a few pics of whats been going on:

i have also blead the clutch and brake systems and they are working, the fuel system is all tight and ready to go, just some coolant and some wires and it will be the big moment! :D

thanks mate :) im so proud of it! there better be picks of whatever you get!!:D

haha no its not cheeky it shows you have good taste ;) i think the colour is amazing :D

and i am having it van back, i have defender 110 station wagon side panels as the windows dont leak quite as much;) and i think im gonna have the roof white, because the white looks great against the blue and it keeps it looking atleast a little bit original :D

just got back from picking up my new tub, its a bit rotten but its much better than the old one (and only £10) , ive got to replace the floor and floor struts, which isnt the end of the world because i have the galv floor struts and a new floor :) then i can finish stripping it down and paint it :D

cant wait to get it on , it will suddenly look like a proper land rover :D

i will get some pics tommorow

had a full day on the landy today and have made good progress

have done another couple of hours or so on the wiring and it is about 3/4 of the way there

rebuilt the wiper system and put it onto the bulkhead

and have changed the floor in the new tub, have almost finished it, just a few more rivets on the last beam and bits of rubber and i will test fit it :D
it doesnt look as bad as i thought now it has been jet washed, there is a little bit of bashing to do on the panels but nothing to bad :)

It's coming together at a rate of knots! Makes a really good read. That will be a truck you won't want to part with!

Out of curiosity, what make of galvy chassis is it? I noticed that the rear cross member doesn't have the PTO hole

i have been wondering that myself, the cross member is a military one that has been welded on in the past as a repair (why i dont know because everything else is solid, like new, i think someone wanted the military look :D)

so i think its a real land rover one ....but...... it only has one hole for the steering relay, the other side has a blank over it and i thought land rover ones had both LHD and RHD holes, so im not sure

but if anyone could share any light on this i would be gratefull :)
