series 3 light switch

hi guys,
fella has so nearly completed the rebuild on the little series 3 but seems to have an reocurring issue. the switch for the headlights on the dash just will not stay together! so far he has fitted 5 and each one has given up the ghost. one fell apart before he even fitted it. we seem to be unable to find a switch that will stay together for longer than a few weeks.
so is he doing something wrong when fitting it or are they realy that naff?

The original switch shouldnt be so crap, I wonder if your using cheap ones, that may be all you can get these days.
Might be worth trying to get a salvage one and trying that.

I fitted a switch from Paddocks and a cheap one from local parts dealer and both failed within a couple of weeks.
I ended up buying a "genuine replacement" this has been fine for nearly two years now.
