I recently purchased a RHD Series 3 1982 109" with a 2.25 litre petrol engine.
It was a troop carrier in the Indonesian army until last year. KODAM IX/Udayana Command which covers Bali, East and West Nusa Tenggara.
It is basically in great condition with only mild corrosion to a few seams, the bulkhead and chassis are perfect. It has the auxillary tank under the driver's seat and side seating in the bank under a canvas top.
Speedo is broken, the only gauge that works is the temperature.
I have replaced the clutch master and slave and the rear drum brakes, the battery and now the starter motor needs an overhaul. The previous owner did not know how to mount the tyre on the bonnet, the clamps being upside down.
She rattled like hell from the loose seating but rubber strips were inserted so it is manageable.
She has joined my Jeeps and i hope she will serve as team transport for long trips.
