series 3 floor panel replacement

got to put a new floor panel in the drivers side (you know where the pedals are and just below them) just wondered if there where any shortcuts to do this as the haynes manual says i have too tkae all the pedals and controls down there out and its gonna be a mega job and i really dont have the time to do it anymore!!! any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Pop Rivets? then stick a load of waxol over the outside to make it waterproof, a bodge in my book but you asked!!

The panels go in without removing pedals, just enough clearance by pressing them down
removing the seized screws/bolts is hardest job so dont waste time and grind em off
use the proper plastic inserts and panel fixings from lr series/ebay, good cost of etch primer and paint jobs a goodun
