Fairly happy with it overall, i didnt fill all dents, it needs to look a bit used and original!

Left to do now is the wheels, which will be same as the top, and tidy the inside a bit with some carpet, and of course all the usual tinkering with the brakes and steering!

Bring on the next project!!

Nice job James, was there a fair bit of work to be done to the rear tub to get it straight. Those first photos looked like it had 1/2 an inch of bog in the tub before repaint

Thanks for all the comments chaps!
And yes rappy there was alot of filler there all to hide a gash, I took off the pillars straightened them as best I could and removed alot of filler.
must be a good 1/4 ton lighter now!

Finally got round to doing a bit more!

Since the body job, I have made some door cards, 6mm ply covered in leatherette, 2mm foam stuck to the door skin inside for insulation and sound proofing.

Took out and repaired the seat box (see other post)
Painted the chassis under the box and floor with Lowe rust primer(well, my 10yr old did!)
2mm foam and carpet through out!!

Looks like I will have to re-do my door tops...
Will post some pics tomorrow.

To do; headlight conversion, paint wheels, get chassis welded, poss new 1/4. see to those flippin brakes!!!!

Looking very nice that! Transformed the old girl.

A couple of questions which might help me please:

Is the gutter sprayed a colour? Silver? I was wondering what they were painted from new?

I like the way you've restored the cappings back to the original galvanised finish. How did you strip them back without damaging the galv coating underneath? Mine have been painted and i would like to strip them back to see what they were like underneath before deciding whether to repaint again or leave natural.

Gutters are galvanized as per original, capping were just stripped and wire brushed to bring back to original, which is galvanized.
