series 3 - 88 inch swb chassis bushes

Hi gang

Q? Are the bushes located inside the two sides of the chassis the same type of bushes that are found in the leaf spring ? If the bushes found actually within the chassis (not the ones on the leaf spring) are pushed out can they be replaced with the exact bushes used and found in the leaf spring itself.

They seem to be the same size and make-up - ARE THEY THE SAME??

No.

The ones in the chassis rails that support the rear of the front springs are longer, and NOT the same as the spring bushes.

The ones in the spring hangers at the back that support the rear of the rear springs ARE the same as the leaf spring bushes (p/n 548205)

All the spring bushes front and back are the same (p/n 548205)

Good luck with replacing those bushes - it's one of the nastiest jobs you can do on a series Land-Rover
