Thought i would carry on posting on the ORIGINAL restoration fred, instead of starting a newen all the time.
Should get some parts ordered reasonably soon to make it a rolling chassis again, it's been a while since i was able to push a chassis around instead of carrying it everywhere...

Picked up an axle yesterday.... it wasn't complete, but i got some halfshafts and other various useful parts from it, final drive unit and everything. The casing is in really good condition, even though i had already painted the other one, this looks in better condition so i'm going to use that.
Painted all the swivel components and such.... it's been long enough.. here's some pics everyone!!
Here's the remains from the axle i picked up yesterday

The 2nd coat of paint will go on tomorrow, all in preparation for an order of axle parts to make this vehicle a rolling chassis again.
I will post further updates tomorrow, all goes well!

Started painting the old leaf springs, just until i can afford some proper parabolic springs, but they are not the 1st thing on my shopping list.
Got a paddock order in, everything i need to get the front and rear axles restored! Been doing some other stuff in preparation. 1 rear leaf spring done

On the other, the 2 clamps sheard as they were pulled apart, so i got my backside round a metal shop and got some bolts, steel and steel tube.
Hopefully, should have something that works as well as the original one.
