I fitted a new master cylinder a couple of months back, the bleeding of which proved nigh on impossible (lacking a forklift to stand the thing on it tail!) so i handed it over to a local landrover garage to sort out.
All credit to them they managed however it took a fair few hours of fiddling to get the pedal travel/freeplay balance so they didnt jam on or the pedal just hits the floor. Im sure i cant be the only person to use a red light to make a quick adjustment..
However now the brake lights pressure switch has failed, fitting a new one took 5 minutes - now on to bleeding the brakes.. 1st bleed nipple rounds instantly, 2nd sheared off (using a 4' long ring spanner). Problem.
Considering the brakes where bled this side of christmas and it has been mostly barnstored i wasn't expecting to shear anything!
Is is possible to remove the remains of the nipple? Any tips on how to remove a seized/rounded bleed nipple?!
Given i have had to resort to blowland/impact driver to even get at the 1st one im not relishing taking all 4 off!
Will post some pictures soon.
