Series 2a / 3 clutch

Hi. I’ve got a 1966 Series 2a diesel. I’m putting in a Series 3 petrol engine, retaining the 2a gearbox - which clutch do I need, 2a or 3?

I want to say the engines are the same, you'll need to keep the 2a clutch but I'm sure someone else will confirm

You want the clutch that goes on the back of a Series 3 petrol engine. Look at the numbers on the clutch that is on the flywheel, or measure the wear marks, or the bolt holes for the clutch plate on the flywheel. Or you could just ring Paddock with the engine number, they will probably sort you out.

I would get a quality clutch kit, preferably Valeo. Fitting the clutch is an easy job with the engine out, but a big one once it is in.
