series 2 oil filter housing conversion?

Do es anyone know how to convert my series 11 oil filter housing to a screw on type?

yes get a housing off a 2.5 petrol. should fit straight on and take same filter as 2.5 diesel, 200 and 300tdi.

...or a 2.5 diesel and get the blanking plugs for the oil cooler outlets. Basically the same thing

So the petrol 2.25 will accept the diesel housings without any mods ? if so has anyone got one going spare?

Hi was searching Turner Engineerings site for something and found a conversion kit for £45 think it includes an oil temp sender and a genuine filter, it's in the specials section, worth a look.

Sounds relatively reasonable.. a new LR unit is rather eye watering even from LR series (and their prices are good...and so is there service)

Thanks 2 all, will try them. Just fitting a new clutch master cylinder mine packed up on the middle of a bridge! Had to get the rac out took over 3.5 hrs to get home and I was only 2 miles away! Said the landy was too heavy for them and had to get a recovery lorry out! That's landies for you.

i drove my 11A for 30 miles home with the same problem. just gotta get the revs right when changing gear. although stopping and starting is fun.
seem to remember have the same issue with my 1275 mini too. bloody british master cylinders!
