My series 2 breaks are,well, rubbish, verging on nerve racking in the race for passing places along our 5 miles of single track road. Any ideas? M
series 2 and its soft breaking!! nearly took out a hydro van yesterday!!

Everyone jokes about Series brakes but set up properly they should be bad.
Can't tell a thing without my crystal ball but start by removing drums and having a look at shoes, signs of oil etc.
Bleeding and adjusting can be a bit of a fine art but worth the effort

Don't race for the passing places, anticipation is your best tool. I've never driven a series with bad brakes.

If all else fails rocky mountain do a front disk brake conversion for series landies, but not cheap i bet.

thanks. should they be as good as my series 3 whose only vice are to vere right in floods but otherwise fine?
