Hi, I have just changed my TDI for a TD5 which came with no security info and I needed to set the code on the radio. A Landrover agent very kindly looked up the code I needed (after checking that it was mine) also in the info was the EKA code but it had a letter in it and I wondered how you enter a letter by turning the key back and foreward, this is the codes I was given can someone explain this.

CATS Radio Number 6631
Ignition Key Code 6372
Immobilisation Code (EKA) 94b6

Many thanks

Erm..... you do realise that the eka code is the one to bypass the immobiliser and that the ignition key code is the one that means you can get a key cut to pattern for your vehicle? With the information that you posted anyone could have driven off in your landy.:eek::eek:

I've edited your numbers for security reasons.:doh::doh:

Thanks Ratty for your concern, I had already altered them by one digit just in case, but I wasn't going to tell anyone where I lived :).

Thanks for the clarification, but can you tell me how I enter the letter B by turning the key back and forth.

Thanks

Peter

You dont!

Its the ignition code you use in the door......

In the event I'm wrong and LR have gone Hexadecimal on my ass, after 9, a would be 10 and b would be 11 turns etc etc etc ;)

I rekon yer right about the ignition code (they probably wrote em down or gave em to him the wrong way around) cos I've never come across an EKA code with a letter in it and if working on hexidecimal I've never seen a 5 digit EKA code either.
