secondary temp sender location?

Hi all

3.5 carbs, temp sender just infront of thermostat at front of the block.

So i have a water temp gauge that i want to install alongside the standard one. when the new gauge is connected to the existing sender both guage outputs are incorrect.

is there another location, that just needs a screw in job, that i can put the other temp sender?

I see the triangle bit with 3 bolts in on the other side of the thermostat, but going into thats a last resort....just looking for another screw in location...

anyone know of one?

either into a head via one of the screw plugs or into the radiator pipe using an adaptor

where's a screw plug on the head?

have a look on the side and there should be one, or there are on mine at least if not theres some on the block itself used as drainage plugs so you could remove one of them and fit there

but if in rad hose then reading incorrect untill themostate opens...heater hose (inlet) is at engine temp..

but why you wanna add another gauge?just sort out oe one??
