Hi All

Been looking around and various sites and this seems to be the one to get the answers!! :D

I am now the proud owner of a Landy 90 TD 1987 and want to start making some plans to give it a make over. I have loads of questions and i hope i can speed this up by getting some answers or suggestions here! (hopefully save me trawling through the internet also:p)

The seats are my first thought as i will be driving it a lot so i would like to replace the standard ones i have with somthing a bit more comfortable. Any ideas of new or second hand?

The next is the steering wheel. Its pretty much a basic tatty original and i have read that smaller can be an option?

Chq plate? I think it looks really good on the pictures i have seen and i am looking at buying the full set in black but again i am unsure of where to purchase this kind of thing?

Thats about it for now so any help would be great!!

Hi Rob,
:welcome2:as Mintie says

Exmoor trim if you want a top notch outcome, find them on the Internet and register for a catalouge to see their full range. If you're running on a budget there are severeal seats you can use to fit your 90. Search the Defender thread, I'm sure you will find several examples.

I had to get chequer plate on my wing tops as they had been badly trodden. For the extra money I went for the 3mm thick rather than the 2mm. They are very strurdy but 2mm will do if you dont have concave wings. I bought mine off ebay from a guy called jumblerat. They are a FULL fit to the wing top (rather than skirting around the bonnet) and just needed a slight tweek with a rubber hammer. The vents go back on top (you will need longer screws) I think he does black as well but you can ask.
They are not pre drilled so you can temp fit the vents first to secure then feel around under the wing top to mark the drill spots... take care. I was going to screw them in but it was really easy to rivet. You can get pre drilled wing tops but dont forget to run a bead of sealant underneath and clear stuff around the edges and inside the vents to finish to stop water getting under them.
