Seat swap

A friend has just phoned me asking if a set of 200tdi seats will fit into his 300tdi? As he has just bought a full set of leather seats and they don't look like their gonna fit. Apparently the ones he's just bought have the seat belt catch on the seat and his 300tdi has them on the floor or vice a versa (the signal was crap) So will they go? his is a 98 300tdi 5 door. Haven't got a clue what year his new seats are out of, or wether they're out of a 3 or 5 door. As I haven't had a chance to look at them yet.

Nice one I'll be seeing him on Sunday night so I'll pass on the good news. Chances are I'll be getting stuck with the job of changing them over, anyway.

Just a question though, i read that if you wanna fit RRC seats into a disco, for a 200tdi you need a bracket, 300tdi is a straight swap, so wouldnt that mean that there different fixings between 200 and 300 seats?
