Searching the forum - and using the Rave cd?

Hi all - made it home with a limping TD4 and a totally FKD intercooler pipe: I guess I should have used a 'full sugar' coke can to do my repair - there was a fair bit of smoke bellowing out on the steep hill climbs. so I hope the turbo isn't knackered.

I'm trying to find how to change my intercooler hose (and all the other related turbo hoses) on my Rave CD, and on searched on here too but no luck in either.


1) Is there an optimum way to search the forum as I've tried intercooler, turbo, hose etc. with very little success, and nothing that gives me an idea of what to do?

2) Can anyone who has the Rave cd advise me where the section on intercooler/hose replacement for the TD4 might be?

As I bought my CDs on fleabay (two of them) it could be I don't have the full library of contents - the first one I bought for the Disco doesn't have anything on Freelanders... and the second one seems to be missing parts??

I have these procedures in my RAVE...click as follows > Workshop manual - Service procedures => Fuel delivery system - Diesel => Repairs => Turbocharger or/then Intercooler ...there are both there.

OK, many thanks - I don't have it on my disc(s)

It only has fuel delivery system-petrol. Bugger.

Thanks - silicone hose search did the trick.

However, when I searched 'turbo' earlier non of these posts came up? Sometimes it's not so simple to find what you want before having to ask....
