you should be able to pull the roof lining poppers out and find where the pipe is split. Cut the damage section out and repair it using push fit joiners.

Ebay will be the cheapest place for the light switch.

rite got me light stalk, but how the fook do I go abouts getting at the light stalk innerds!!should I be going at the rubber 'gater' or is there a better way around it!?

Remove the screws at the bottom of the plastic housing that encase the switches. It will take a bit of twisting and yanking to get the plastic surround off. It comes off in two pieces. The upper section and the lower section. The easiest way of changing the switch is to remove the steering wheel. If memory serves me right it is a 22mm nut securing it. Undo the nut and then put it back on again 2-3 turns. Then get mad with the steering wheel banging and yanking it with your hands and knees. When it comes off it will do it with force. This is the reason for putting the nut back on a couple of turns. A STEERING WHEEL IN THE FACE HURTS. Slide the switches off the column. change the switch and reasemble.
