As per @gold rover check all the fuses in the glove box the radio tuner is in the rear left cubby in the boot thats just a screen on the dash, the mode button changes between radio, cd and cassette when radio is on. If you can select the other options on the screen then it does look like the tuner has died.

So, battery off and back on again and I'm still in the same situation. Weird as when I picked it up last week the radio worked fine, not sure what I did to get it into this situation!

I'm replacing it with an Android head end shortly but would have liked to use the radio in the meantime...

thks, plus 1 what the others have said , know it can be very frustrating with faults etc , there’s been times when ive walked away for 5 x mins

so may i ask what was the battery voltage with a multimeter with the engine off please ,thks

think I saw a link somewhere in the workshop manual , will see if I can find it

2002 HU dramatically different iirc.

Oops, fingers crossed there’s an earlier version then for the HU

many thks for letting me know, plus will be interesting to see what the battery Vdc is once the OP has tested it with a multimeter

thks again

As an after thought @omega1 have done a battery reset ? sometimes it will cure a multitude of problems.

Hi

Funny enough also asked that as indeed can sometimes sort out all sorts of issues , or a low battery

maybe the unit itself has failed but not knowing the L322 don’t know there quirks , fingers crossed will get it sorted out , got to love em, lol

Thanks all for your comments/suggestions on this one. I fitted a new battery today and hey presto! the radio works again.

So in conclusion, it would seem to be related to the battery voltage, though strange that it wouldn't work when the vehicle was running either?

Anyway, the radio now works, thanks again.

AIUI , If sulfation has occured in the battery, you will not be getting a full charge, even with engine running. The L322 is especially touchy about having a full charge.

Personally have a discovery 3 and know on that if the battery isn’t up to scratch will cause all sorts of issues

with all these modern landies if the battery isn’t any good will create issues, indeed get a multimeter snd ensure with the engine off the battery is at least 12.6 Vdc

fingers crossed after you’ve given the battery a good charge or replaced it may just resolve ur issues

indeed Plse let us know how u get on

@gold rover , OMG I actually got something right for a change

Does that mean I get some cake , lmao
