I guess that would make sense, but Q is specifically set aside for self built cars or customs so it wouldn't be transferrable to a normal car unless it was seriously modded, i guess putting a private plate on a Q would add value to it so they wouldn't like that!

It's main use now is where the age of a vehicle can't be accurately arrived at. All ex MOD vehicles used to have Q plates on but they stopped that when they had the last big number plate shake up.

Hmmm... i always wondered about the DVLA scoring system, you know where chassis, engine, axles etc all have scores and if you change too much you have to register on a Q. Is there a time limit on this - ie if you have a 1970 series then in 1980 change the chassis, lots of points, then in 1990 the engine, a coupla points, then in 2000 something else, so over time you replaced the whole vehicle, how long to the points carry for?

Where did you get the chassis? Can't you get the ID off that? Someone wouldn't have got rid of a good chassis and kept the id?

Failing being dodgy or having an ID off your chassis, then it's easy to get it registered as a q-plate.

the chassis is new galvinised and most parts are from my old 110

i aint hidin nothin i just looked all over the site cant see nothin about visiting everyday i aint the dodgy one with the sinister asumptions my mother once said it takes one to know one wonder if its true!!!!

another who thinks you should visit the site every single day am i missin somethin apart from my loggys here well if you must know i have been out and bought a new one today 51plate td5 lovely, ok its on finance so now i got two loadsa spares
 
i wonder how people get there post count so high now i know they just talk poooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh
 
I've got one of the genuine tomb raider keyrings hanging about my "unusual land rover item" section of the chest of drawers...

was wondering though, if the 90 chassis was new and galvanised, why didn't you just get a 110 one - theres only a hunner quid or so difference betwixt the twa, then you'd have maintained the id of your donor 110.

I've done that with my 90 like for like and it keeps its id easily
 
well im back must of made the time limit whats up i aint been slaged off yet just to put everyone in the clear on this i bought a new and unused 90 chassis from a friend for £600 he bought it 12 months or so before i started the build this inclined me to the rebuild thank you just hope i'm forgiven for cutting a long story short

the 5th time for odenne it originated from my old 110 new and unused galvinised 90 chassisb just hope for your sake you aren't odenne on the hard stuff ie; crack cocaine, heroin thats really bad for you

theres seeminly been instances in the past of people have registered to for dodgy purposes and folks have lost money etc
post did seem a bit iffy as most people building a l/r would have been on sites like this during project as its one of the best
not been on here that much myself but seems if you genuine and dont take life to seriously your welcome
if you aint theres more than a few coppers on sites like this
