Hi folks - I'm by now familiar with all the juddering issues, auto fault finder videos etc.
Quick genesis
- droning noise from rear diff, had a diff shop rebuild it, droning went away
- very soon after I started getting juddering in full lock in reverse (most pronounced in underground park), to a lesser degree in front direction corners. It's a slight bind that releases softly, during a single maneuver maybe 6-8 times
- the issue stops when haldex fuse is out
I've had the Haldex out, new OEM pump/filter/fluid, even tried alternate N737 valve working on another car; rear CV joints and shafts look solid. Compared to some of the videos around my oil/screen/filter was reasonably clean
Looking at all the issues I feel I'm stuck with two outcomes: the clutch pack/accumulator in haldex toast; and/or something done wrong in diff rebuild
All the threads point to the haldex issues for the issue experienced, but I feel the timing of the diff repair is too close.
What would you do to troubleshoot before I take out diff and try a new rebuild - I have access to a lift if needed for a quick test.
