Thinking about it, Did the person you bought them off have a winch /winchbumper, maybe they bought hd front springs and normal back ones. this would explain your reverse dragster effect
 
when i fitted mine, i found the front pair were lighter than the rears. not much diff in height but they look and feel fine. i think you should try them the other way and see what happens.
 
I have some (3" over) fitted to the rear of my classic Range Rover.
They are the best springs I've ever had and dont sag after two years of towing like the last ones did. They are guarrented not to.
Unfortunately whilst trying to buy some more for another vehicle this week I've found that Scorpion Racing have shut down. Its a shame they sold good products. Hope they start up again

ermmmmmmmmmm the reason they shut down is because people finally realized that they DIDN'T sell good products - they did however sell some very inferior copies of very good products

good riddance to them
