THIS IS REAL NOT A EMAIL THING DOING THE ROUNDS PLEASE MAKE IT STICKY FOR ALL TO SEE.

I use several forums and a certain person has arrived and is making a LOT of money, £1000's from us. Selling non existant parts to people on various car forums. So far I know of about 5 different ones he has used and has made a serious amount on each.

BEWARE WHEN BUYING ANYTHING ONLINE THROUGH A PRIVATE AD, HE ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL, WONT ALLOW COLLECTION AND HOLD THE BIGGEST STORE OF SOUGHT AFTER PARTS FOR ALL MAKES APPARENTLY. Links to various forums below.

aye.
with the same american reg number.

and the scottish hanger looks identical to the one in ohio!
amazing.

all in all how strange...

who would be stupid enough to part with £1000 deposit without seeing it 1st and being able to pick it up? people with too much money i guess, but then why would they be on ebay in the 1st place.

the mind boggles.

after many emails from the scammer today, he wont let me view the item, until ive paid the deposit, ive now reported him to ebay as a possible scam/fraud.
we shall see.

The ID number on the tail denotes that it is from the North American continent, the ad is still running on e-bay in the US so I would guess at this being genuine. The UK one has vanished (funny that). The Hamshanks do have a habbit of adverising stupid things on fleabay, even seen an aircraft carrier on there once (what the f would you do with that?) and boeing 707's etc.

Absolutley pointless buying something like that anyway as the air worthiness cert would have expired and you need an act of god to get it re-instated.

The RAF were selling off the Gnat trainers in the early 80's, we had many a muppet buying them (about 12k they were going for) telling us how they would be flying them in a years time. They looked like your local hoodie had nicked the stereo out, as anything deemed sensitive (nealy all of it..) was removed before sale. Never saw one fly since (If the RAF sod it off, it must be knackered...)
Did like Clarksons idea of using a Lightning for kick down a runway though....

things like old aircraft carriers and what not are worth a reet ****load in scrap.
they're big enough to keep you going fer a couple of years main problem or should that be issue is having someplace to strip the buggers.

Towing an aircraft carrier, from the docks to your house to cut it up for scrap, might be a snag too.

Need a hefty trailer that would.

But 50,000 tons of decent steel ... tempting that is.
