They did a six cylinder as well. Massive engine in that squished engine bay.
Had a client with one. He swapped It for a mercedes ml, quite modern mercs as well and probably money to boot.
 
The 0 to 60mph time of the FL2 SD4 matches the FL2 i6. The benefit of the SD4 is the diesel economy at all other times. The i6 was available early on in the FL2 but wasn't popular in the uk as the TD4 was so good. The FL2 TD4 had the same perfromance 0 to 60mph of the FL1 v6. The SD4 is 2 seconds quicker to 60mph than the TD4. The i6 is smooth but being 3.2L is drinks too much. Same for the FL1 v6 petrol at 2.5L.
