Might be strong enough (and i wouldnt have back seats so seat belt mounts not an issue)
But must be a continuous seam to pass MOT, footwells ect is the same.
Just please do the world a favour and give the seat belts the attention required - somebody else in future might just want the seats back in.

Its going to scrap ;)
I dont have time to reweld the whole body
Itll just donate parts for the 110.

I would never leave it like that.

WHY THE F00000K DO I BOTHER !!!! :confused:o_O:mad:;):p

You're welcome to come and weld it up, got a nice portamig and a lot of gas ;)
But in all seriousness, im a welder by trade and work 7 days a week, so fixing a chassis is easy enough, rewelding the whole body after its been coated? No chance lol.

Can't see the point in weldin tisue paper 2 tisue paper + play the main off the heat on 2mm plate less chance of blowing holes if its a bit thin !! :)

Not as easy to form to shape though.
I hate welding cars , so it looks like disco ownership wont be for me :p

You do talk a LOAD of B/S ! You work 7 days aweek ?:rolleyes: F/OFF how can you ?? you own a land rover !! :( Tell the TRUTH ! you work 4/5 days a week ! the other 2/3 are spent fixin yu landrover !! :D:D;);););):p:p

Finish at 1 on a Sunday .. enough time to do any repairs :D the 110 doesnt involve me lying on my back getting burnt though:p

This is the trayback kit, I liked it as it would give you a super nice cab and allow you to make the rear end anything you want, I saw one that was ready for paint in a weekend from being driven in as a running but rotten 5 door to truck cab, I always liked the idea of Land Rover using the Discovery platform as a truck cab that could offer flat bed, drop side, tipper bodies, this means you could build the rear end up as you want, perhaps even kitting it out as an onsite mobile welding rig with diesel welder/generator, oxy acetylene bottles, compressor and lock up for your tools.

As much as i like it, Its a fair chunk of money to throw at a disco
I think id struggle to get insurance to actually drive the thing too so it would be a pointless exercise.

Shame really, if he had just taken the extra few mins to fully weld the new metal in id have got it back on the road:rolleyes:

Before i chop it, what would be the best way of dealing with the rear light wiring?
