Can anyone confirm if the sarn helen is open as it opened on 31 may

But im unsure if its the top is open by banwen

Yep the guy has blocked the road on all roads to get in i went last month for that lane and other ones and it was closed i was gutted.

Hi just read your reply again and when you said last month what date did you go as the roads are open from the 31st of may

We done it today and was closed at the top were you enter Walters arena so we had to turn around and go back down.

Trouble is with Sarn Helen, There is more than one.

There is sections from swansea up to bangor. And the restrictions are not clear on all of them.

These signs appear at the entrance of many of the start/end parts we found.

The signs are only a few months old, and quite a few had been removed by vandals and replaced again by Powys council at a cost of hundreds so I read.
It does seem most of the track was closed for good in Feb'13, so Brecon area isn't really worth visiting anymore.

Sarn Helen is totally open at the moment. We done it on Sunday. I believe it is only open till 22nd of August this year though (although dont quote me on that)

It appears that there is a bit of conflicting info on this lane? anyone able to confirm one way or t'other was hoping to go back there later this year?

Also interested, would be keen to hear what the accurate info on this lane is. It used to be a good drive but I don't fancy having my vehicle impounded and crushed and a load of points on my license cos I've got duff info.(

From aberdulais to banwen (walters arena) is open but you are supposed to tirn around by walters arena as they have closed the byway going through but it is still open as the rocks have been moved.

The top section is closed as the council is working on the byway

I might be wrong but that is my understanding from talking to the local right of way person.
