It's been restored. Looked like the one at the start of your post a few months ago. Go for it, get one and restore it, then it's yours, with your own mark on it. Loads of Santana's here in the Canaries, they go forever. Just ask if I can help with any info.

Oooo yuck - I am amazed the RDW allowed that! May be the RDW haven't seen it? It looks like the dumb iron from the original chassis has been cut out and welded onto a replacement chassis.

I'm usually looking for Land Rover stuff on the internet if I come across a nice looking beast in Holland I'll post up a link. Do you definitely want a SWB?

I doubt the RDW has seen this. Can't imagine they'd allow something like this.

But yes I really want a SWB series 2a or 3 so it you see one, a link is much appreciated. Checking another one out tomorrow.

I agree with you its a 'bitsa' as there's not much on it apart from the headlights that says its a series three, but theres almost every part of it that says its a series two. I mean who would fit a series two bulkhead into a series three? Where is that famous plastic coated dash upgrade?

Thanks guys for the help! I bought one tonight. Just got home. I bit of work still to do but everything is there to bring it on the road again. It's a diesel from 1974. Great!
