Hi folks, newbie here, with a 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 2.2 diesel. Just a couple of questions from me after you all helped me with solved the problem I had. We were on holiday and belching out smoke and had poor power. Suffice it to say I've just fitted new intercooler hoses (the long one into the intercooler and the short one which was split).
I now have a whistling when I rev over 2000rpm is this normal?? Also when I took it for a run it was intermittently 'misfiring' under load in 6th as I went up a large hill near to us, whereas it used to pull like a train. Any ideas?
Also the engine management light came on due to the split pipe, is there a way to reset it?
PS we were pulling a caravan with it at the weekend and it was ok for the most part but still has the intermittent 'misfire' at revs. EML went out on Saturday (when we went out and about) for the first time in 3/4 weeks then came back on again later in the day.
I also have seatbelt warning light and passenger airbag warning lights both intermittent but were occurring before any of this hose split!!
