Safari Roof.

I have just bought a series 111 lightweight which has a safari roof on it . i am not over keen on it and ideally would like a canvas roof for it. My question is is a safari roof worth anything as i can not find any listed on e bay ect to give me an idea . Would like to sell it to fund a canvas roof but not sure if it worth owt. Thought i would ask before i go to the trouble of taking it off !!!!!!!.

about £1 to £25 depending on how good a condition it's in.

I've got one here that I put on ebay last year and it didn't sell for 20 quid. Got loads of idiots asking if I'd post it to bulgaria or bloody canada but no actual bidders. So I reckon if ya can get 20 quid for it yer doing well.

Daft question time...... Is a safari roof the double skinned roof with a gap between to aid cooling?

I nearly questioned the term Safari Roof, strictly speaking I would think that is a roof with alpine windows, the double skinned roof is a tropical roof, most Safari Land Rovers will have been fitted with one.
As I have no idea of the value of any of them I didn't bother.
As he is changing it for a canvas top, I suspect he means a full hardtop, sides and roof. Again whether it is a genuine Safari top, or just a hard top with windows, is anyone's guess.

Yup, and has vents in the roof and windows in the side top of the roof.

Yeah its the one with the double skin roof and the pop up vents. Thanks for replys anyway. Looks like i will have to keep it for the winter and save up for a canvas top.
