s3 wont start ( fuel filter )

i am going crazy i changed the fuel filter and now it wont start.primed up to the injectors .tried easy start but to no avail air in the fuel system i think ? also like the other guy on here there is a bangin sound when i try to start it.Previously it used to start every single time with no problems.Can anyone help me here

Calm down and breathe deeply.
do you have a GOOD fuel delivery if you crank the engine? if not read on..

I was there a while back; had all sorts of problems for 6 months then one day i reasoned the lift pump delivery might be inadequate, perhaps the diaphagm, so for a few quid bought a new one and changed it......
And,
the old pump arm had sheared off! a bit of metal was banging away between the cam and follower, I had NO pump,... and noise.
of course the lift lever worked but not when you turned it over. it is worth a look.........
