S3 Handle for Latch to bonnet (US Hood) is not releasing lock

I”m likely not using the correct words to describe my little problem, but the handle When I push it to open does not seem to be moving far enough to disengage the lock and allow me to lift the bonnet more then an inch. The handle is moving as far as it normal would. Any secrets in getting me out of this mess?

Are you keeping the handle in the open position until the hood is fully open.

It sounds like the hood is disengaging but being held back by the ‘anti blow open’ hook.

I had a similar problem and had to use a lever to open it up. Once opened the keep needed adjusting on top of the front panel. Only two bolts and a wiggle.
