Wonder if anyone can help - have fitted some 2005 wheels and tyres to my P38 (eBay bargain) but had to use spigot rings and change the wheel nuts to slimmer ones with 22mm nut size.

The wheel nuts are black but have rusted almost immediately so I wanted to fit plastic caps over them but I cannot seem to locate anyone who makes / sells them - loads up to 19 & 21mm but can't seem to see any 22mm - help plse they look awful when they're rusty on brand new wheels.

Hi there Don. I'll have a chat with some locals see if we know anyone. In the meantime i've used Silver Japlac or Hammerite with very small brush just so they dont catch your eye until you find something.

Cheers, Nick.

don mine did eactly the same. i bought some 2003 18" rims, and bought some 22mm wheel nuts & spiggots that claimed to be black adonised. you didnt per chance buy them from a guy called "covertwiseguy" off ebay did you?

looks like i'll need to get the hammerite out :s

Hi all!
Dads recently picked up his DSE and it was fitted with late wheels and steel nuts..The previous owner has also fitted the chrome nut covers...
Problem im encountering is the nuts rust inside the chrome, and the covers "seize"on,now i cant get the bloody covers off!!!
Anyone got a solution? Cant priese them off as not enougth room to get anything up the sides...Am considering drilling a self tapping screw through the center of the covers, which should force them off the nuts, then just live with the rusty nuts!!!
Cheers Tel
