Hi All,
when I got my defender I had a quick look under the carpets and saw that all the floorpan screws were very rusty. I decided to buy a set of stainless replacements and today started to try and fit them. My big problem now it that some of the old ones are so rusty the heads are smooth and I can't get them out.
I am new to all this so can someone please give me some advice on how to get the rotten ones out without wrecking the floor

Any (sensible) suggestion gratefully received

They only screw into plastic retainers, so should come out if you lever underneath them

Might need new platic retainers afterwards - cost pennies

Thanks all,
Managed to get most of them done today using all of the above :):D. Waiting to get some replacement plastic bits and then I can finish the job. Certainly looks a lot better

any idea where you get the plastic bits from?? been keeping a eye out for some for a while.

Look for partnumber CZA4705L
Found them on ebay, paddocks and lrparts
(Assume you can even go to local LR garage but recon they will rip me of something silly)
Hope that helps
