Hi Folks
I want to rustproof the underside of my Disco.
I believe Waxoyl comes in Paint-on or Spray on versions. Has anyone done this to 'theirs'
and which method is reccomended.
Any advice welcome. Thanks

spray it on is best you can coat everything and get in all the nooks but its a messy job

its possable put a sheet down park you 4x4 on if you have a set off them little ramps they help give you abit more hight clean it all off let it dry and spray away old clothes and a good hat helps or it will be in your hair for weeks

dress up like an inspector at sellafield. you should be ok then.
many moons ago, i used to protect cars chassis/underfloors with old engine oil. cheaper than waxoil and it works ok too.
used a homemade reciever with old airline to spray it in/on.

just finished doing mine with the brush on hammerite stuff. took about 3 days on and off but looks well good under there now. also took out the front lights and done behind them and as far as i could get inside the inner wings. next step is to squirt some old engine oil into the chassis drain holes which should help protect the inside. after that remove the back and front bumper and do all behind them and also drop the tank to do the floor panel and cross member.
im giving the ole disco a treat because its gone through the m.o.t with only the front wiper blades needing doing.
not bad for a 12 year old motor.
