Running issues

Hi all need some help

Rrc 3.5 v8 Inj

It has developed a misfire and cuts out when take foot off accelerator

I have changed

All spark plugs
All ht leads
New ignition coil

Still got the issue

Thinking air flow meter or dizzy cap????

Any ideas????

module, coil, cap, MAF, blockage, if its cutting out when you take your foot off and stop delivering fuel/air it'll be something on that side I'd think

you should change dizzy cap and rotor arm as a job lot with leads and plugs ,check air bypass pipes orifices and stepper motor

evil giving v8 advise? whatever next

On a side note I shouldn't be trusted when V8's are concerned……..they hate me

It cuts out starts straight back up and it's just throwing the fuel straight out the back so it is getting fuel so possibly like u said air delivery??????

Blockage was mainly aimed at fuel filter, but if its delivering then thats fine


If its throwing fuel out the exhaust I'd say running way rich! not enough air and anything along those lines

Not enough air would that cause it to misfire and cut out etc might try changing the air flow meter see if that helps

no because air isn't vital for combustion is it

have you got a spare one ?,air bypass etc is the way air gets to inlet when throttle buterfly is shut

No don't have a spare will have to go out and buy one from somewhere

i wouldnt tha gets to be an expensive way of fixing things ,try the other stuff first ,one bit at a time so you know that fine then move on to the next
