runing hot with caravan on

Hi my 97 disco is runing hot with van on back if i put cab heater on tep drops to normal. went up suton bank with no caravan on back all ok.
now do i put 14" elct fan on the dico with switch on dash for deep water or fit a new viscose unit.

might need new viscous, they do fail over time ,is rad hot all over as they often fail too

Hi i fitted new rad 3 weeks ago, all the finns had droped out, which would let more air though,i think a elct fan might do , plus a bit more power.

cooling system in good order doesnt need any extra help, you must have an issue somewhere viscous fan is better than electric imo for engine,you do keep it topped up by removing plug on top of thermostat housing

Hi again sory to be a pain
just been out to disco, the plastic plug on thermostat housing stuck.
got spair off old rad,plumers grips after socket failed,no threads on old
plug,rag in hole cleaned treads out with oring remoover ,remooved rag toped up,brass plug back in, lets hope no further prblems.
water level was 2" down from plug.
