Run away 200 TDI

We had an Iveco that someone filled up with too much oil, he drove it to my garage as it was smoking a fair bit, he pulled into our workshop and that was it, off it went, ran away and filled the workshop with thick smoke (im talking 1 ft visability at most), after about 5 mins it finally gave up with a big bang as the con rod smashed through the engine block...
 
I went out to an RTC involving a security van with slam locks on it a few years back. The driver got out and shut the door locking himself out with the vehicle parked in the middle of the road. The engine was just starting to run away when I got there. There's nothing that wakes you up quite like trying to break into a sprinter van containing over a million pounds in bank notes, which is parked across a dual carriageway and while the engine is running away.:screaming_bug_eye_f:screaming_bug_eye_f:screaming_bug_eye_f
 
i pulled up at some lights and my 110 (old td engine) started running away, big smoke and revving its tits off. i just casually jumped out stuck a rag it the intake till it died then jumped back in fired up and drove off. left the car drivers behind a bit confused

Clutch would just overheat and melt basically, the engine will be going flat out...

It only happens if you overfill you oil or your turbo seals or similar are gone, basically the engine will run off its own oil supply, diesels being compression based it means it will just keep going until you take either the fuel or air sdupply away

Thats a great idea, never thought of that before, CO2 straight into the intake, that should kill it...
