Surely just putting it in fifth, brakes on then let clutch out would be easier?
How hard is it to stop this once it has started, and how often does this sort of thing occur?
rag up the intake is about the only way to stop it.
I am a motorsports marshal, and when we have turbodiesels racing, we stick a CO2 extinguisher in the marshals post, so we can use it tostop any runaway engines.
