rumpling noise

hi, i have a freelander td4 57k miles. a rumbling noise has started when driving, took it to a landrover garage, they said it was the ird. The ird was replaced but the noise is still there. The garage have not charged me yet as they dont know what it is, is going back in to find out more about the noise. can anyone help?

Hi, as i said, i would get back to you all.
After research by my garage, they think they have found the fault.
They drained the
gearbox oil and have found filings in it!
They say it will need replaced, i will drive it and save up th £1200 to replace.
Top marks to my garage, so far no charge on the ird.
HAS ANYBODY ELSE KNOWN OF A GEARBOX FAILURE AFTER 57K?
