rumble

i have got a 96 tdi and it has started to make an awfull rumble when it goes into overrun !nasty noise it really is too any clues chaps thrust bearing maybe regards mudpilot

i would say check your front and rear props

nice one sir after pulling apart the front axle cos it sounded rough and found all bearings etc ok saw your answer had a quick nose and found rear uj or whatever they call em these days to be well shagged its amazing that you cant see the spot on your nose till someone tells you cheers muchly mudpilot
