Evening all. I'm having a few issues with my rear door on my disco 200tdi. The bottom left corner (as you stand outside looking at the closed door) of the rear door has been slightly rubbing for a while but now i have put the spare back on the door its rubbing real bad and getting near impossible to close. Is there any easy way to sort this? As in any adjustment on the hinges??

Check the rear crossmember underneath for rust. Sometimes the body mounting supports rust badly and the body starts to sag.

As already stated it could be either hinge pins or crossmember rot ........

HOWEVER...............

I am today going out to my own Disco armed with grinder and MIG welder (again) and repairing the bottom part of the door hinge pillar (the main upright that joins the roof to the rear crossmember) as mine had turned to brown dust  so it's worth checking that area too mate ;).

If it is that area that is the fault LOOK OUT!!! ........... i've had to remove the rear quarter panel to get access to it ....... no mean feat i can tell ya :( .
