quite a few, you slacken the top nut 19mm then to remove play you turn adjuster 6mm allen key clockwise whilst rocking the lower steering coloumn by hand to feel amount of play ,adjust till play is just removed, if you go by the book it goes further and adds preload which you dont want unless whole box is been reconditioned

Yes I can rock the steering wheel left and right with no movement at the steering wheel, I was told the steering box needs adjusting and thought I'd have a go at it myself, so could do with a step by step guide or some advise if possible

Whilst your here check the drop arm ball joint aswell and the ball joints on the drag links. I adjusted my box and changed all of those and it literally transformed the steering, it was like day and night.
