thinking about removing all my carpets in the disco 1 and replacing with rubber checker plate the type that comes on a roll, wondering if anyone has done the same and also is it a good option compared to wet soundproofing and carpet or will damp just sit there as its not breathable
Thanks

I think you've answered this one yourself.

How much water does your D1 let in?
I've got closed cell foam, with LR rubber mats on top of that, in the front of my Defender. The beauty of it is that if a bit of damp does get it, you just lift it out and wipe it. 1 min later the rubber or foam is dry, as well as the floor and your off. Whereas carpet takes hours to dry out and make it harder to know there is dampness there cos they absorb it and so disguise it.
