ok, so what sort of price should I be advertising her at?
I was advised to advertise her with this ball park figure given the mods that have been done and money spent etc.
I was also told that the classic was going up in value for a good one.
That said, I suppose its only worth that money to someone who is willing to pay it.
I would also consider a swap, but again, for of what value?

I'm no expert, but hopefully someone who's well into rrc's will pop in to suggest a figure. That said, it's the first rrc I've seen on here for a while which has been advertised at over £1000 - £1500. I looked at them as an alternative to a defender or a disco - but quickly discovered that most were v high mileage, and essentially posh looking piles of rust - maybe worth going into a bit more detail on the rust front?

anyway, fingers crossed an rrc expert will tell you something more useful.

I have to say the price would put me off even though it looks very good, i am going to put my p38 on here, if i could get that price for mine i would be over the moon.

apprently they make good money in france so think about exporting. For the price ya have it would have to be a low milage minter with fsh-maybe from a main stealer

Morning guys,
I have my classic up for sale on this forum, and as yet had no interest. I was kinda thinking that it might be the wording in my ad that was the problem. So, could you guys have a quick gander at it and tell me what you think please. Thanks guys.

Sorry Nathan, here it is:
Land Rovers For Sale - 1994 rrc soft dash 2.5 tdi vogue se - Powered by PhotoPost Classifieds

I think that there are several issues:-
1) The price isn't realistic unless your a specialist garage and the vehicle have hardly any miles and is in time warp condition.
2) You can pick up a p38 for the money your looking for.
3) Tail gate needs replacing soon-your going for top money-yet the vehicle needs work
4) not a v8

My best advice is to do an ebay classified with best offer-don't refuse any offer, just counter offer.

Most of the regulars on here will only pay Trade price and I'm sure someone will disagree but

If the underneath is solid and not welded up,no major oil leaks and headlining, paint etc are all mint £1500-£1800 Retail.

So stick it in on a classified for 2k and see what offers you get, but I reckon it will be about £1500 if it is mint

As others have said, a mileage would be helpful. Good RRC's are making better money now but the problem is most perspective owners only want them for trolling around & off-roading, therefore only want to pay peanuts. As demand for the rare good ones exceeds availability the prices will continue to rise, but only to those few buyers that are looking for both quality & originality. My advice is to advertise elsewhere as well & wait for the right offer, although I realise that is not a luxury every seller can afford.

yeah too pricey and a lack of a gassed v8 are your biggest hurts there mate

us classic men love the v8 sound!

Way too pricey too unless you trying to sell it beulie :p

Thanks for the input guys, it hurts but I got to be realistic I suppose. I just had it looked over by a stratstone mechanic who said its the best soft dash he has seen, no rot underneath at all. He offered me £2500 on the spot. I said I would give it a think over. She has done 124000 miles on that chasis, but the engine has done 60000 as she was replaced.
I quite agree with the grunt of a v8, nothing like that sound is there.
Thanks again guys, will keep you posted on progress.

take the money and run if i were you. 2500 is better than you will do on here or eblag and you wont have to pay to advertise it either
