Hi,
as some of you may have seen I bought a classic a month or so ago. it had four inch speakers in the front doors, and also in the headlining above the boot. All of which were blown!
The rear speakers were an easy fix, I bought some replacement ( I think 6.5 inch) speakers, cut the hole a bit bigger and put them in.
Front speakers are a bit more challenging , I bought some replacement 4inches but they are slightly too deep, and the magnet hits the door frame behind.
So what should I do, either I could cut the door frame a bit which I dont really want to do, sounds like a prick of a job and would weaken the door.
Iv seen mdf spacers which would look ****, but I bought some anyway with the intention of spraying them black but they are too big to fit in the speaker recess in the door trim!
What have other people done for the front door speakerS???
thanks, chris
