hi..converting my 72 rrc to air..but before i do.....how is the ride on your rrc on air?

ie is it soft or firm when lowered (ie motorway speeds.)when normal and high...how much body roll etc..

i want it to be on the harder side..ie no/little more body roll than on my +2 springs, which are firm..

thanks

I know a guy who has a 1994 on air and he swears by it but has fitted american lifetime bags with modified mounts. most people though think that rrc on air are far more trouble than they are worth and reading some ver old copied of lro last week when air came out they said it was wallowy and rolls on the corners more than a normal classic.

the choise is yours mate but I wouldnt bother, although I guess you are past tha point with yours :p

no..still at the thinking stage, though i have the complete rrc sytem now..

zen you know where i am for the only performance air sprung range rover lol

for the time being...then there were two..(gonna use air engine valve block, dakota digital controller and i expect yankie air bags..(though not sure which yet)but keep rrc compressor, drier and tank.

I still run my LSE on air springs, and I've not had any bother with it after 60000 miles. On my 300tdi I had to fit a new pump at 170000 miles. At normal height I find the ride quieter and more comfortable than coil springs. On the motorway it's ok but I do feel the bumps more.

Body roll on cornering is noticable, but why are you worried about body roll on a Rangie anyway?
